The primary service that SERLS offers is high quality Continuing Education Workshops, which are specialized for the needs of the library staff. Workshops are offered at various venues throughout to region to ensure accessibility by all members in the SERLS region. In addition to continuing education, SERLS also offers:

Services available are based upon the membership level of the participating library.
Services for Basic Members
All libraries of any type located within the SERLS region are Basic Members by default. Basic Members can take advantage of services available to them which include:
- Continuing Education Workshops
- Copying/Printing Services
- On-site use of Ellison Die Machines and our expansive Die Cut Collection
- On-site use of our Professional Collection
Basic members can choose to pay an economical annual fee and become enhanced members to obtain an additional level of services.
Services for Enhanced Members
Enhanced Members, or dues paying members may take advantage of the full range of services offered by SERLS that include the following:
- Discounted or Free Continuing Education Workshops
- Discounted Printing/Copying Services
- Dental and Vision Insurance
