The Wake County (North Carolina) Public Library System made decreasing barriers to library use a priority in their strategic and tactical planning.

In this informative session participants will explore the common barriers including unnecessary or restrictive policies, difficulties of accessing library facilities, lack of service awareness, and insufficient literacies that WCPL uncovered in their libraries, that might be happening in your library too!

Join Ann, Sarah and Katrina and learn how their library has worked to combat the impact of these barriers by systematically reviewing and updating library policies and operational practices and by responding to customer needs within their community.

Cost: SERLS Members $0
