Adventure begins at YOUR library in 2024!
Get ready for a summer of exploration and fun at this workshop focused on planning for your children's and teen programs.
This workshop is a collaboration with SERLS, the Central Ohio Youth Services
network (COYS), and the State Library of Ohio.
A lot of content will be packed into the half-day format.
After an optional networking lunch at noon, you can expect:
- Librarian-led
presentations covering preschool, children's, tween, and teen programming;
presenters; teen volunteer management; decorations; promoting to schools;
and the Summer Library Program LSTA grant.
- Open
conversation time to discuss anything related to summer planning, ask
questions, and share ideas.
- A
"Swap & Shop": attendees are welcome to bring
surplus craft materials and other useable items. This is optional, and you
don't have to bring something in order to take something. You may want to
bring a tote bag or box to take away your new-to-you treasures!
- An
idea-sharing display. Bring a craft
sample, program, or other idea to contribute.
This is a FREE workshop. Lunch is on-your-own. You are welcome to pack a lunch or
order from a local establishment.
Get ready for
an afternoon of learning and networking! We can't wait to see you.
